Browse our extensive collection of flashcard categories. The categories are organized to make it easy to find the right vocabulary. There are categories for common language learning topics such as colors, food, sports, numbers, months and many more.

Choosing Paper or Card

There are generally two options for printing flashcards that will last for a long time, either print onto card, or print to paper and laminate with a laminating machine. For temporary flashcards, or when time is limited, paper flashcards will also work, I have used them many times in a rush.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between small, medium, and large size flashcards?

Small cards are playing card size (9 flashcards per page) and work well for individual study or small group games. Medium cards are around 4-5 inches (4 per page) and well suited for online teaching. Large cards are full A4 or letter paper size and perfect for whole-class instruction or games for young learners. They are large enough to be used at the front of a classroom and everyone can see them.

Can I edit the flashcards before printing?

The flashcards are designed to ensure quality and accuracy, so they are not fully editable, however there are various customization options, for example the border color, and sometimes font can be customized. The exact settings depend on the language. For making flashcards with custom text, you can print the picture-only versions and add your own vocabulary by hand.
